  • Please keep the Board of Directors updated on your Club and your events

  • The Alex Fraser Park Board of Directors meet as frequently as twice a month. Regularly scheduled
    meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month with other meetings scheduled as needed.

  • There are two special meetings for the Alex Fraser Park membership throughout the year; One general
    meeting in October and the A.G.M. in  April; exact dates T.B.A. Please watch for dates to be advertised.

If you have a matter that you feel needs attention, please present written notice to the board of Directors and
submit at least 2 days prior to the next directors meeting. There are often matters brought to the attention of a
director, who will present the issue at a meeting; but details and important information are unknown. This
makes it easy to table or dismiss an issue that may need further investigation. If you provide the situation to us
in writing then we have substantial evidence that the matter was brought to our attention. Thank you.

  • Beginning February 2010, Alex Fraser Park directors meetings will be open to the public; Delegations
    will be heard at the end of the meeting, only business that is appropriate to the days agenda may be
    discussed; new business matters must be presented in writing to the secretary 2 days prior to the next
    business session, it will be added to the agenda for the next meeting.

  • the Board of Directors are interested in hearing about your successes and your suggestions to the
    improvement of the Park and the Facilities.

  • Please be aware, that only those Affiliated Organizations in Good Standing will have opportunities
    and privileges with the Society

TO BE IN GOOD STANDING YOU MUST INSURE THAT YOUR ORGANIZATIONS ANNUAL FEES plus GST
ARE PAID 30 DAYS PRIOR TO THE APRIL AGM; THAT YOU HAVE SUBMITTED THE NAMES OF THREE
REPRESENTATIVES WHO WILL HAVE VOTING PRIVILEGES AT THE AGM; AND ENSURE THAT A COPY
OF YOUR LIABILITY INSURANCE WITH 5 MILLION DOLLAR LIABILITY IS SUBMITTED TO THE SOCIETY
TREASURER OR SECRETARY. (submissions can be mailed to the address at the top of this page)  

Affiliated organizations that are insured through Capri insurance MUST be responsible for ensuring that
they have Horse Council B.C. PAID memberships numbers for ALL of your members. Your insurance is
useless if you are supporting members who have expired HCBC memberships. Alex Fraser Park Board
reserves the right to request an up to date list of memberships from equine activity organization.
