Gymkhana Society
Our club holds weekly gymkhana events in Alex Fraser Park starting
June 18th and each Monday night through the summer to August 27th.
With the exception of August 6th Civic Holiday. Riding starts at 6:30 p.m.
We are fortunate to have use of excellent facilities at the Alex Fraser Park
rodeo arena. In case of poor weather the indoor arena may be used if it is
available.
Each Monday we hold 3 events for a variety of classes from Lead Line to
Adult. We start with barrel racing, then proceed to pole bending and either
thread the needle or the dash.
We end our season with a fun day for all involved. (Date and Time TBD)
Our club’s main focus is on children having fun and learning better riding
skills. Encouragement in the form of a second run to build up a child’s
confidence and/or help train a horse in not unusual.
Our adult members from beginners to experienced competitors enjoy the
opportunity to train or maintain in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Our point system is based on participation as well as where a rider
places. To join the North Cariboo Gymkhana club you first have to have a

North Cariboo Gymkhana Society Fees:
$10.00/member/year or $20.00/family/year
$3.00/night/person or $25.00 for a season pass (non refundable)
Sign up any Monday night at Alex Fraser Park starting June 20th. (Please
make sure your Horse Council membership is up to date and bring your
card or purchase at first night with us) Please arrive early to register at the
announcers booth in the outdoor arena. Thank you!!
